March is Brain Injury Awareness Month

Posted on March 20, 2025

To help demystify concussions and offer deeper insight into the risks and benefits of playing contact sports, a new podcast is here!

🎧 Echoes of Impact is a collaboration between AUT’s Dr. Mangor Pedersen (Psychology & Neuroscience) and Dr. Rufus McEwan (Communication Studies), featuring legendary All Blacks Frank Bunce and Conrad Smith, and hosted by independent journalist Alison Mau.

With expert contributions from Dr. Alice Theadom, Professor at AUT and Director of the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Network, this podcast is your go-to resource for understanding the complexities of concussions and traumatic brain injuries.
