Covid-19

As of 11.59pm Thursday 2 December 2021, our facilities will be moving into the Covid-19 Protection Framework. Under each traffic light colour our facilities have a set of protocols to keep you, other patients and our staff safe.

At Proactive we are committed to providing the best care to our clients and the wider community safely.

Of course, we will be putting the safety of our clients, our team, and the public first and foremost. We follow strict Covid hygiene protocols, and we can provide assurance that treatment will be provided by vaccinated staff.

We are delighted to advise that the change to a new National Framework (Traffic Light) System means we can provide our clients with care throughout all settings.

At Proactive, we treat all clients regardless of their vaccination status.

Covid-19 Traffic Light System

Across all Traffic Light settings here is what we require all clients, support people, and our staff to follow:

  • Clients and support people 12 years and over please wear a mask unless you have a medical exemption
  • Scan the QR Code or register on arrival with our friendly reception team
  • Please don’t walk in without a booking – call us first so we can complete a screening process
  • Feeling sick? Don’t come into our clinic, call us and we can help arrange a telehealth appointment for your care
  • If you have booked online, we’ll call you before your in-clinic appointment – chat to our receptionists, we’re here to check you have no cold or flu symptoms

Physio appointment – wear comfortable, loose clothing, and please bring your own towel.

At the red setting we are implementing additional measures to protect our more vulnerable clients:

  • If you are over 70, pregnant, or have a health condition that makes you vulnerable to Covid-19, we will be asking if you’d prefer to see us through telehealth. Your Proactive clinician can then determine if it is more appropriate to continue via telehealth (until the risk of Covid-19 in the community reduces) or be seen in person.

Book ahead for your appointment

To keep us all safe we ask that you book ahead either online or phone. Though we love to see you drop in for an appointment, during the traffic light settings we need to keep you and our staff safe. You can book online using our booking portal here.

Before your appointment you’ll hear from our friendly team! A quick screening check to make sure you aren’t experiencing any cold or flu like symptoms.

Telehealth is here to stay!

With Covid in the community, you may feel more comfortable having your assessment through our telehealth services. Together we’ll determine from your initial assessment if we can continue with telehealth or supporting you in clinic face to face.

Looking after Mother Earth in a Covid environment

We’re making a conscious effort to reduce and limit the number of disposable items used in our clinics. Help us help the planet – please bring a clean, dry towel with you to your physio appointments.

Welcome, come in and bring your support person or tamaraki along!

Across all Traffic Light settings, we welcome you to bring your support person with you. At Red we do ask that if possible tamariki/children stay home. If children do need to attend with you that’s okay too! For over 12’s we’ll need to screen and ensure they wear a mask too.

Remember, if you’re feeling unwell stay home and contact Healthline or your GP. Let us know you’re not feeling well, and we’ll work with you to make a new appointment or support your recovery via telehealth.
