Stop Out is a football club based at Hutt Park, Seaview in Lower Hutt. The name Stop Out is derived from the depression days when boys would  stay out late at night kicking a football about. The kids were affectionately known as ‘stop outs’ period slang for troubled youth. The organisation became involved with several sports over the course of its history, notably athletics, softball and boxing, but football is today the main focus.  The senior club has grown to 5 Men’s teams, plus 3 teams in the Masters Division and 4 Women’s teams. Stop Out is the only Wellington football club represented in both the Men’s and Women’s Central League.  In 2019 Stop out celebrates its centenary.

Established in 1999 and based in Porirua, New Zealand, the Olé Football Academy philosophy is inspired by the latest evidence that concludes; talent is not born, it is grown. The staff at Olé Football Academy believes that an individual’s potential for growth is unlimited and we unashamedly support young footballers in their pursuit of becoming world-class players. Olé Football Academy takes a holistic approach to player and human development, understanding that producing world class footballers is more complex than training loads and tactic talks. We believe that football is the best medium for helping educate, develop and prepare young people for life on, and beyond the pitch.

Wellington Olympic has its origins dating back to 1953 when a group of Greek immigrants established Apollon to play football and ensure the community came together as family and friends. Since then the club has gone through several transformations renaming itself as Wellington Olympic in 1983. The latest transformation of establishing our base at Berhampore’s Wakefield Park is a key milestone for the club. We now have a permanent home and aim for it to benefit the greater Wellington Community.

Wellington Olympic is proud of its heritage and endeavours to compete at the highest levels. It is one of the powerhouses of Wellington football with teams across a broad base of competitions including juniors and now with its association with the Kaizen Football Academy will become even stronger. The appointment of Stu Jacobs is part of our strategic plan to continue to develop players to support our future successes including winning titles at all levels and developing our younger players to strive for football scholarships and play professionally in the future.
